Project Details:

18 10-story apartment towers, 648 units, clubhouse, swimming pool, jogging path, tennis courts

Engineering Solution:

Tower structures were designed with composite precast floor slabs, wall elements, and façade bay windows. These precast elements were pre-fabricated on-site and lifted into place with minimum in-site concreting.

Buildability Features:

  • Precast Beams
  • Precast Slab Soffits
  • Precast Bay Windows
  • Dry Partition Walls
  • Precast Staircases
  • Use of System Formwork for External Walls

Results:

Reduced number of workers on site, improved site management and construction safety, reduced construction waste disposal; noise; and air pollution.

Project completed one year ahead of estimated temporary occupation permit (TOP) date due to the construction/precast design method resulting in early return on investment, reduced interest charges, less disruption and relocation for extension projects.

Awards:

Highest-ever Construction Quality Assessment Score (CONQUAS) of 94.1% by the Singapore Building Construction Authority (BCA) in 2006
