Alternative design for a precast structural system to replace the original in-situ post-tensioning design within tight schedule Precast yard design within existing site boundary for optimum construction production and buildability |
Solution: |
Site precast of 9-meter clear-span prestressed slab soffits and 11-meter precast, prestressed half-band beam soffits. |
Results: |
The construction period for this project was reduced from 26 days per 4000m2 floor plate to 12 days per 4000m2 floor plate, and a total labor force of 1000 workers was reduced to 300 workers. Savings of massive amounts of formwork and shoring. Enhanced the construction quality greatly by well-controlled precast yard production, as compared to original in-situ construction quality |
